10 days later on Thursday the 2nd of June, the under pour and rebar is in!

4th of June, the boys are back finishing the pour on the slab and the holes for support beams!

Prestart and colour choices

On the 20th of April, we had our pre-start appointment where we picked colours, tile types and renders.

For the house style, we went with the Modern Colonial which features a rendered frontage with the theatre room left as the natural bricks as a feature wall.

For the ColourBond roof, we went with the Deep Ocean colour, Argyle style bricks by Austral, a neutral off white called Surfmist for the render, Silver Lustre for all metal window frames and Parker Austral brick for the driveway pavers.

For the kitchen, we went with a range of white tiles, we did change the cupboards to Stone Grey since the photo was taken and a stone benchtop with the pattern called Ocean Foam.

Bathrooms were selected with Matt White tiles for the walls, Belga Charcoal for the floors and a feature strip called Nova Storm in each shower.

We upgraded from the standard carpet range to the Metropol Marble with a gold underlay from Trevor’s Carpets. We found this range to be the softest yet more durable carpet in our budget.

The standard for other flooring is vinyl lay, we went with Hazelnut Red. We are looking at changing this to vinyl planks further down the track.

We also started the process at looking at air conditioners. We are looking at a Breezair EXQ210 with 9 outlets installed.
